The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in
the last governorship election in Anambra State, Senator Chris Ngige,
has declared the party’s readiness for the 2015 general elections.
The APC chieftain, who is leader of the party in Anambra, made this
known after the conclusion of the APC ward congress which ended
yesterday.
“You can see it yourself that the disgruntled ones in the party all
came together to make the exercise a memorable one. Everybody is happy
and as the leader of the party in the state, I thank everybody. I am
grateful to all party faithful”, Ngige said.
Speaking in the same vein, member of the House of Representatives,
Charles Odedo (Idemili North and South Federal Constituency) said: “We
started with the stakeholders meeting where all the so-called groups
came together and all the issues were resolved amicably and that is a
very good example by APC”.
The former national secretary of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples’
Party (ANPP) and Ngige’s Campaign Director-General, Chief George
Muoghalu, told journalists that “what had happened in Anambra showed
that the people desired for change”.
