TRAGEDY VAL: Val’s Day Turns Bloody As Police Bullet Hits 35-Year Old APC Leader

It was indeed a sad day for APC members and the youth at large in  Kwara State as one of their own, Mr. Femi Oladipo was hit by a stray bullet when trying to settle a dispute among some youths in a hotel they all went to celebrate St. Valentine’s day.
Mr. Oladipo who was a former chairmanship aspirant under PDP, in the November 2013 local government election in the state before defecting to APC, was said to be standing with the youths while settling the matter before one of the police officers hit the butt of his gun against a wall when it discharged a bullet and hit Mr. Oladipo. The 35-year old leader who shortly returned from the United States died instantly.
The police officer as however been arrested as confirmed by the spokesperson for Kwara State Police Command, Ajayi Okasanmi. He said, the affected police officer was already undergoing an interrogation at the command’s headquarters in Ilorin. It is true that a police officer’s gun was accidentally discharged and killed a man at the hotel where he was to provide security. The officer affected has been arrested and currently undergoing police orderly interrogation at the Kwara State Police headquarters.

The police have however pleaded with the youths to stop protesting as the matter is being investigated.
