ASUU Strike: FUTO Denies Firing Lecturers

The Public Relations Officer of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), Chike Ezenwa, has denied that the school management sacked the striking lecturers of the university. 

He denied the sack report via a telephone call to the Daily Trust reporter today in Owerri, the capital of Imo state.

The PRO had disclosed the management’s decision to sack the striking lecturers to newsmen in Owerri yesterday, following their refusal to comply with the federal government ultimatum to go back to class.

Ezenwa yesterday said that their positions have been advertised already for interested persons.
